Anna Marie "Annie" Allen
MARGATE, FL- Anna “Annie” Marie Allen (née Woodstuff) died peacefully surrounded by her family. Annie died at her home in Margate, Florida on December 6, 2022, at the age of 76.
Annie is survived by Pete, her husband of 53 years. She is also survived by two daughters: Amy (Mike) Blossom of Marietta, Georgia and Susan Allen of Pompano Beach, Florida; and two grandsons: Tyler and James Martin of Marietta, Georgia. She is also survived by her two sisters: Rosalie Taylor of Lutz, Florida and Mary Jane (Gene) Winters of Moundsville, West Virginia, and many family and friends.
Annie was born on June 20,1946, in Wheeling, West Virginia to Albert and Frankie (Helen) Woodstuff. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1964. Annie and Pete were married in 1969 and made their home in Wellsville, Ohio until 1981 when they relocated to Coral Springs, Florida.
After moving to Florida and raising her daughters, Annie made the decision to attend nursing school and dedicated her life to caring for others. She spent her 35 year nursing career at Northwest Medical Center in Margate on the Telemetry Unit where she was the charge nurse.
Annie was an amazing, caring, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a generous individual who always went out of her way for others. She was loved by everyone who met her.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
Interment will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Annie’s life.
