M. Jane Jarvis

 

EAST LIVERPOOL - M. Jane Forbes Jarvis, 96, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

 

She was born January 29, 1926, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Harry C. and Laura R. (Cooper) Forbes. Besides her parents, Jane was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband, Paul, whom she married February 9, 1947. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: William Forbes, who was killed in 1944 during World War II, and Dale Forbes. 

 

Jane graduated from Wellsville High School in 1944. She worked at Curtis Wright during the war, spent twenty-three years at A & P Tea Co., and retired in 1983 from Central Federal Savings & Loan where she was a teller for thirteen years. Jane was a member of the First Church of Christ Disciples in East Liverpool where she was a member of the choir and Ladies League, a deaconess, and treasurer of the Sigma Alpha class. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 70 auxiliary for over fifty years. She enjoyed going to the YMCA in her spare time.

 

Jane is survived by one son, Terry (Mary) Jarvis of East Liverpool; twin granddaughters: Brenda (David) Stacey of East Liverpool and Paula (Jim) Beverly of Lake Tomahawk; and three great-grandchildren: Sutton Stacey, Terran Stacey, and Cameron Beverly. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mary Jarvis of Taft, CA, and two nieces and two nephews. 

 

According to Jane's wishes, no services will be held.

 

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.

 

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with her arrangements.
