Obituary of Frederick William Heldman

Frederick William "Bill" Heldman, Jr.

 

WELLSVILLE - Frederick William "Bill" Heldman, Jr., 65, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

 

He was born September 20, 1956, in Wellsville, the son of the late Norma Lou (Heckathorn) Heldman and Frederick W. Heldman, Sr.

 

Bill graduated from Wellsville High School in 1975. He was previously employed at Sohio and Acme Sales Company, and he later owned Heldman's Asphalt and Maintenance. Bill was a previous member of the Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040 and Wellsville Eagles Aerie 772. He was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports, but especially enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bill also enjoyed golfing and playing cards.

 

Survivors include his brother, Chris Heldman and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Columbus; two nieces: Caitlin Heldman and Erin Heldman, both of Columbus; one uncle, Don Heldman and his wife, Ruby, of East Liverpool, and one cousin, Rob Heckathorn and his wife, Gretchen, of East Palestine. Also surviving is his step-mother, Barbara Heldman of East Liverpool.                        

 

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

 

Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Bill's name to: United Way of Southern Columbiana County, PO Box 646. East Liverpool, OH  43920.
