Dennis Keith Russell
WELLSVILLE - Dennis Keith Russell, 69, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Salem Regional Medical Center due to complications from Covid-19.
He was born July 9, 1952, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Robert and Clara (Stanley) Russell. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death on June 9, 1978, by his daughter, Heather Russell. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Campbell; three brothers: Robert Russell, Stanley Russell and Wayne Russell; and his mother-in-law, Joyce Imburgia.
Dennis graduated from Wellsville High School in 1970. He was previously employed in the agricultural department at the former Crucible Steel Mill and J&L Steel Mill. Dennis was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was also a supporter of the sports programs at his alma mater, but above all else, Dennis loved to cheer on his grandchildren in their sports at United Local. He was a member of The Heights Church in East Liverpool.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Imburgia) Russell, whom he married June 8, 1974; two daughters: Tricia Russell of Wellsville and Christina Phillips and her husband, Jordan, of Guilford Lake; one sister, Georgia Allison of Carrollton, OH; and two brothers: Larry Russell of Wellsville and Don Russell and his wife, Sue, of Bremerton, WA. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Jordan Russell, Rileah Phillips, and Kase Phillips; one sister-in-law, Debbie Shilot and her husband, Sam, of Greenville, OH; his father-in-law, Vince Imburgia of Wellsville; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the The Heights Church, 528 Grandview Avenue in East Liverpool with his brother-in-law, Rev. Sam Shilot of Triumphant Christian Center in Greenville, officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
