Obituary of Charles W. Fluharty
Charles "Chuck" Fluharty
EAST LIVERPOOL - We reported our brother, Chuck, missing on October 19, 2014. He was born May 23, 1957, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Charles and Billie (Blankenship) Fluharty.
After seven long years of wondering if he would ever be found, we finally got our closure. On September 28, 2021, AWP (Adventures with a Purpose) began their search looking for him. On October 5, 2021, we were notified he and his vehicle were found. It was a very sad and emotional day for us.
Survivors include three sisters: Marge Sakmar of Dover, Pennsylvania, Donna Stemple of Wellsville, and Trudy Cowie and her husband, Marty, of Lisbon; and one brother, Jeff Fluharty and his wife, Heidi, of Wellsville.
We would like to thank Chuck's aide, Gina Hart, for all she did for our brother. A special thanks to Jacob Grubbs, Joshua Hammon, Greg Smith, Chaos Divers, and all others involved in his rescue and for giving our family the closure we needed.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with his arrangements.
