Joseph Edward Taylor
WELLSVILLE - Joseph Edward Taylor, 71, of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.
He was born January 19, 1950, in Salem, the son of the late George and Alice (Morris) Taylor. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death on December 23, 2017, by his wife, Bonnie Jane (Figley) Taylor, whom he married May 28, 1988. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Harper.
Joseph attended Beaver Local High School, and he was employed as a laborer for Maryland Refractory before retiring in 2019. He enjoyed spending his time restoring trucks and four-wheeling and off-roading. Joseph was a member of the Mingo Sportmans Club.
Survivors include his son, James Taylor and his fiancee, Taylor, of Wellsville; one sister, Ellen Price and her husband, Norman, of Salem; and two brothers: Gerald Taylor of East Liverpool and George Taylor and his wife, Donna, of Hammondsville. Also surviving are three brothers-in-law: George Harper of Elkton, John Figley and his wife, Toni, of Wellsville, and William Figley and his wife, Cheryl, of Bloomingdale, OH.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Harmon of Shepherds Joy Ministry officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm on Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
