Ethyl DeGarmo
EAST LIVERPOOL - Ethyl DeGarmo, 93, of East Liverpool, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at St. Mary's Alzheimers Center.
She was born February 12, 1927, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Cyrus and Nancy (Russell) Thomas. In addition to her parents, Ethyl was preceded in death by her two sons: Paul DeGarmo and Lawrence DeGarmo; four sisters: Marian Zelasko, Edythe Blazer, Ruth Blazer, and Ina Watson; and two brothers: Lee and Earl Thomas.
Ethyl had been employed for fifteen years a machine operator at American Paper Products and also as a receptionist at Marian and Judy's for fifteen years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of East Liverpool.
Survivors include one brother, Clarence Thomas of Lake Wales, FL; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, including Bonnie Hale of East Liverpool.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service was held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville with Rev. Steve Knisely of the church officiating.
Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
