I met Pete Pelley when my grandfather, Clarence Pelley, passed away. What a sweet man! Since then we met up when I would come visit my grandparents grave (I live in Michigan), and send cards and talk on the phone. Even though I hadn't known him long, he will hold a special place in my heart. May you know he is now with his wife, he missed her so much. Prayers to his family.

To all my wonderful cousins. No one will be able to understand what you are going through right now. Our loved ones never really leave us. We keep them deep in our hearts and souls. We pass our love and memories of them on for generations. Uncle Pete was truly an amazing guy. He always had a smile, hug, or handshake. His contagiously happy attitude was passed on to all of you. We always had so much fun when we got together. These are troublesome times we are living through right now. COVID makes it difficult to physically be there when we need each other the most. After this pandemic is under control, lets have a family reunion to share the love we have for each other and to share memories of past generations that can be passed down to our young ones.
You are all in our prayers. Jerri and Bill Smith

Saddened to hear of Pete's passing. Being neighbors, I would see Pete whenever I visited my sister. A great friend of 40+ years. Always great to talk to or to share a laugh with. R.I.P. Pete!

Thinking of the entire Pelley family, during this time of loss. Having been friends with Pete for nearly 70 years we shared alot of good memories. He was Bert's cousin and they shared alot of childhood memories with Betty and I, especially about the flood of 1936 that drove so many from town to higher ground (18th St.Hgts.). He was always first to offer assistance when someone needed help, and he continued to do that with me this past month. He called and said he wished that he could do something to help and He had just by calling. May the many good memories your family has shared give you comfort and peace. With deep sympathy, Jim Crews

To the whole Pelley family, We were saddened to hear that we lost such a good friend from our lives here on earth. Pete and Betty were so supportive of my family during some of the most difficult times in life, even after Betty passed Pete never failed to checkup on us with calls and cards. Just a month ago with the passing of my mom, Pete's cousin Bert, he wanted to know if he could do something to help. He was a very caring and compassionate man, and he will remain in our hearts forever. Lifting your family in prayer. Love, Amy Crews Brown, Jim, Michael, Sarah, Scott, Marissa and Elena

Will surely miss talking to Pete when he would come in to pay his trash bill and seeing his truck go up and down the road knowing he was 97 and still driving himself around
