Richard Kevan "Dickey" Sullivan


LISBON - Richard Kevan "Dickey" Sullivan, 62, of Lisbon, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at his home.


He was born July 6, 1958, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Richard S. Sullivan and Shiela (Wright) Sullivan. In addition to his parents, Dickey was preceded in death by his sister, Penny L. Poynter and his brother-in-law, Clayton Poynter.


Dickey graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1976. He was self-employed as a mechanic and bodyman. The only thing Dickey loved more than working on cars and trucks was spending time with his family. He was Christian by faith.


Survivors include his wife, Tracy (Mason) Sullivan, whom he married August 5, 2001; six sons: Richard Andrew Sullivan of East Liverpool, Kevan Robert Sullivan of Lisbon, Keith Sims and his companion, Tina Ulchinsky, of Lisbon, Matthew Sims and his companion, Brianna Morga, of Lisbon, Austin Sims of Lisbon, and Jason Sims of Lisbon; and four siblings: Debbie Sullivan Murphy and her husband. Randy, of Lisbon, and their son, Randy and his wife, Renee; Terry Poynter and his wife, Amy, of Boardman, and their sons, Tyler and Caleb; Eric Poynter and his wife, Maecy, of Austintown, and their children, Mason and Penny; and David Poynter of Baltimore, MD and his children, Madison, Natalie, Hailey, and Jacob. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Abigail Hamilton, Haley Sullivan, and Bexley Sims.               

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.
