Violet A. Reardon

 

EAST LIVERPOOL - Violet A. Reardon, 87, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

 

She was born July 17, 1933, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Zearley) Jackson. In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death on February 8, 1996, by her husband, John G. Reardon, Sr., whom she married April 11, 1959. She was also preceded in death by seven sisters: Betty Korbel, Margaret Dodson, Emmajean Martin, Marian Perkins, Mary Thomas, Phyllis Jackson, and Sally Pinz; and three brothers: Luther, Ferry, and Jerry Jackson.

 

Violet was employed as an assistant manager at the Family Dollar Store in East End of East Liverpool. She had also worked as a bartender at the Crystal Lounge. Violet was a member of the VFW Post 5647 and had served as past president of the Wellsville Eagles Aerie 772.

 

Survivors include four sons: John and Connie Reardon of Beauford, GA, Frank and Roberta Reed of Florida, John and Linda Rambo of Johnson City, TN, and David and Debbie Detwiler of Columbiana; three step-daughters: Carol and Glenn Cox of Petersburg, OH, Jaqueline and Willis Snow of Chester, WV, and Maureen Crawford of East Liverpool; and one step-son, Timothy and Rose Reardon of West Point. Also surviving are two sisters: Cynthia Morris of Guilford Lake and Rebekah Groves of Nashville, TN; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.      


Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

 

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

 

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Violet's arrangements.
