Edna M. Emler
EAST LIVERPOOL - Edna M. Emler, 90, of East Liverpool, formerly of Wellsville, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2020.
She was born December 28, 1929, in Rosebud, West Virginia, the daughter of the late James Lester and Bertha (Ice) Miller. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Hurd Bettis, six sisters, and six brothers.
Edna graduated from Lumberport (WV) High School in 1947. She worked in the kitchen at the former Potters Medical Center, and later as a caregiver. Edna was a member of the Living Well Church where she had served as worship leader and Sunday School superindendent. She also played the piano as well as sang in the choir. Previously, she had been a member of the "Wild Bunch" Community Choir.
Left to cherish her memory are four daughters: Laura "Joanie" (Joe) Wagner of Alliance, Barb McIntosh Roos of Wellsville, Diane (Rick) Shafer of Hammondsville, and Lisa (Gregg) Martin of Rogers; three granddaughters: Amy Cowdery, Kaytlyn Gilliland, and Kelly Dalrymple; three grandsons: David Slaughter, Kristopher McIntosh, and Dustin Martin; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the church officiating.
Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
