H. George Prince
WELLSVILLE - H. George Prince, 76, of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born November 28, 1943, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Howard and Helen (Burns) Prince.
George graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1961, and he served in the United States Air Force Reserves. George was employed for over thirty years as an electrician for the former Crucible and J&L Steel Mills before retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Wellsville Masonic Lodge 180 and attended Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sally (Miller) Prince, whom he married December 2, 1972; four daughters: Kristen Ours and her husband, Jason, of Wellsville, Kendra Kormos and her husband, Matt, of Cleveland, Georgeanna Long and her husband, Tim, of Calcutta, and Marcella Roach and her husband, Matthew, of East Liverpool; one sister: Annette Norris of Lisbon; and three brothers: Richard Prince of Wellsville, David Prince of Winchester, VA, and Phillip Prince of Thailand. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren: Madison, Logan, Evan, Jansen, Olivia, Bella, Cole, Georgie, Maddox, Marcellus, Johnny, and Jacob.
The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 10, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Church, 418 4th Street, Chester, WV with Rev. Jeeson Stephan officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville. A Masonic service held at 7:30 pm.
