Obituary of Robert E. Greathouse, Jr.

Robert E. "Rob" Greathouse, Jr.

WELLSVILLE - Robert E. "Rob" Greathouse, Jr., 49, of Wellsville, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 22, 2019, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a massive heart attack.

He was born October 24, 1969, in East Liverpool, the son of Sondra (Boner) and Robert E. Greathouse, Sr. of Wellsville.

Rob graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1988 and attended Kent State University at the East Liverpool Campus. He obtained his Class A license and had been employed as a truck driver for Fillmore Trucking and R&J Trucking. Rob had previously worked as a dispatcher for the East Liverpool Police Department, as a laborer for the East Liverpool Incinerator Department, and most recently at Homer Laughlin China Company. In his free time, Rob loved nothing more than taking his Harley Davidson motorcycle for a ride. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed seeing the wildlife that came into his backyard. Rob was Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his wife, Kellie (Nelson) Greathouse, whom he married February 14, 1992; one daughter, Madison Greathouse of Wellsville; one son, Robert Ian James Greathouse of Wellsville; one sister, LeeAnn Greathouse of East Liverpool; and one niece whom he absolutely adored, Emma Lise.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Willard Adkins officiating.
