Obituary of Loretta Ensinger

Loretta R. Ensinger

 

EAST LIVERPOOL - Loretta R. Ensinger, 88, of East Liverpool, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice of Beaver, PA.

 

She was born October 21, 1929, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Irwin H. “Ike” and Claire (Gilson) Crawford. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death on March 14, 1983, by her husband, Richard Ensinger, whom she married May 5, 1950. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Vincent Crawford.

 

Loretta graduated from Wellsville High School in 1948. She was employed as a finisher for Cardinal Stone until her retirement. She was a member of the Friends of the Old Fire Station, Wellsville Historical Society, Wellsville Arts Club, and a lifetime member of the Wellsville Alumni Association. She was well-traveled and enjoyed seeing the world with her family. Loretta also enjoyed crocheting, studying genealogy, reading, and bowling. She was also an excellent cook and baker and was known for her homemade cookies, pies, and cakes. She was a member of the former First United Methodist Church in Wellsville.

 

Survivors include two daughters: Pamela Miramontes and her husband, Javier, of Simpsonville, SC, and Tracy Crouch and her husband, Roger, of East Liverpool; and two sisters: Joan Crawford of East Liverpool and Barbara Handley of Steubenville. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Aimee (Doug) Watson, Brandon Miramontes, Eric (Sara) Miramontes, Christopher Miramontes, Emily (Brandon) Gunning, and Sarah Beth Crouch; and seven great-grandchildren: Elena Cota, Gabriella Gunning, Nolan Gunning, Mila Miramontes, Brynlea Gunning, Chase Watson, and Cash Watson. Loretta also leaves behind three lifelong friends: Joyce Shanks of Wellsville, Margie Smith of Salineville, and Lois Kelly of Wellsville, as well as many other friends.

 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Cramer of Trinity Presbyterian Church officiating.

 

Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery in East Liverpool.

 

Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 pm Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
